Recommendations to the Japanese government Concerning Wide Area Incineration of the Rubble Affected by the Fukushima Daiichi NPP Accident
- Details
- 2012 July 20
The Japanese government changed the limit for nuclear materials to be monitored and disposed of in specialized containers from 100 or more bq/kg of Cesium to 8000 bq/kg, 80 times higher than the pre-3.11 limit, and worse is that the government decided to disperse the radiation contaminated debris all over Japan to non-contaminated areas.
We urge and recommend the government to keep the principles for the treatment of polluted materials.
- Radiation Contaminated Materials must not be dispersed and must not be incinerated.
- They must not be incinerated with asbestos.
- Non-contaminated areas must be kept clean.
